EVE at the ESA–NASA Workshop (Huntsville, USA)

The EVE team took part in the 2nd ESA–NASA Workshop in Huntsville, Alabama on 20 May, contributing two sessions focused on agentic AI for Earth observation.

Represented by Àlex R. Atrio and Antonio Lopez (Pi School), the team first delivered an oral presentation titled “EVE: An Open Agentic Platform for Earth Intelligence.” The session introduced EVE as a system that goes beyond static data interaction by combining adomain-adapted language model with real-time tool use across geospatial services. Attendees learned how EVE integrates with resources such as STAC catalogs and geospatial APIs, enabling users to query, plan, and execute Earth observation workflows using natural language.

This was followed by a hands-on session, “Building Agentic Earth Intelligence: A Hands-On Tour of the EVE Platform.” Participants worked directly with the platform to construct agentic workflows from scratch. The session covered connecting language models to geospatial APIs, executing and tracing tool calls, and integrating custom tools into the EVE ecosystem. The interactive format gave attendees practical insight into applying agentic AI to real-world EO challenges.
