ESA-NASA Workshop to Showcase EVE: AI-Powered Earth Observation Virtual Expert

The ESA-NASA International Workshop on AI Foundation Models for Earth Observation takes place on May 5-7, 2025, ESA-ESRIN, Frascati, Italy. EVE will be showcased through an oral presentation and a hands-on tutorial for participants as part of the event.  

Workshop Focus

The event unites global experts in AI, geospatial science, climate, and EO to address challenges in integrating foundation models—AI systems trained on vast datasets—into Earth sciences. Key topics include adapting models to multimodal geospatial data, ethical AI use, and commercial applications.  

The EVE team, including Àlex R. Atrio, Antonio Lopez, and Marcello Politi, will spearhead demonstrations.

The in-person event at ESA-ESRIN will also be streamed globally.
